These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ScholarCall (scholarcall.org), operated by ScholarCall. By using this website or subscribing to our emails, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

ScholarCall is a free, permission-based service that sends subscribers curated calls for papers and invitations to submit to peer-reviewed journals. We do not charge researchers to subscribe.

2. Subscriptions & consent

You may subscribe only with an email address you own or are authorized to use. Subscriptions use double opt-in: you must confirm via the link we email you before we send you any further messages. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or our preferences page.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by submitting other people’s addresses without permission, attempting to disrupt the site, or using it for any unlawful purpose. Our email practices are described in our Email & Anti-Spam Policy.

4. Content & accuracy

We aim to share accurate, relevant calls for papers, but we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy or availability of any opportunity, and we are not responsible for the editorial decisions, fees or practices of any third-party journal. Always verify details with the journal directly before submitting.

5. Intellectual property

The ScholarCall name, logo, website design and content are owned by ScholarCall or its licensors and may not be copied or used without permission.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScholarCall is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

7. Changes & termination

We may modify or discontinue the service, or update these terms, at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend access for anyone who violates these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
